Cruise to Benefit Families in Need
New Orleans, LA— The Steamboat NATCHEZ will again be hosting their annual Sailing with Santa Cruise on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Boarding begins at 2pm and the boat cruises from 2:30-4:30pm. The cruise is free to anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the St. Bernard Battered Women’s Shelter and Crescent House of the New Orleans Family Justice Center.
Children of all ages are invited to take a ride on the Steamboat NATCHEZ. Everyone will have an opportunity to take a picture with Santa Clause while sailing down the Mississippi River. In addition, there will be special activities on board such as spray-on Christmas tattoos, Elves with balloon talents, and a chance to write a letter to Santa. All participants, regardless of age, must bring a new toy for children ages infant to 17 years for the free cruise, until we sell out. Food and beverages are available on board for purchase.
The St. Bernard Battered Women’s Shelter seeks to empower all survivors of domestic violence through strong programs that promote independent living free from power and control by other individuals. Crescent House and the New Orleans Family Justice Center provides emergency shelter and relief for domestic abuse victims and their families.
