Our scouts program gives kids the chance to earn an exclusive Steamboat NATCHEZ Heritage Patch by completing a self-guided tour of our authentic Steam Engine Room. All groups experience a pre-boarding calliope concert, live jazz music, historic commentary, and an inside look at how steamboats helped shape New Orleans and the nation.

Teachers and Scout Leaders can request printed information on the structure of a riverboat, the steam engine system, and Question and Answer Sheets for lower grades that cover everything from history to boat safety. There are more detailed Questions and Answer Sheets taken from the boat’s live narration and student observations throughout the boat for the higher grade levels. Custom group packages and meal options are available.
